We have realised that in the nightclub business, everyone is drinking from near their homes – mostly in open spaces. Closed bars are phasing out. We have therefore, taken the step to close Club Amnesia with effect from Friday 2nd August 2019 with the party on Thursday 1st August 2019 being our last.

We are grateful to you our customers, for keeping us in business for the last eight years. Ever since we opened, the number of similar businesses that have opened and closed are uncountable; but we have thanks to you remained open because of your support. We thank you!

We have hosted some of the craziest parties this town has seen. We hosted all the top artistes and those starting out. We have birthed many careers and given a platform to so many.

We have hosted many Kasikis, sending hundreds of you to your marriage. Some of you have found love here while others have lost love in the same place. So many memories. We must celebrate all that tonight.

We are also thankful to our landlord, Mr. Rajiv Ruparelia and his dad Sudhir Ruparelia who have been good hosts. I hope we have been good tenants. We will remain at the building as a restaurant that serves the true Uganda dish- Katogo 24/7.

Hamza, thank you Sweetie for wiping away my tears – Rema

Rema first publicized the news of her new lover towards the end of August 2019, forsaking her long time ex-lover and fellow artiste Eddy Kenzo.

Ssebunya visited Rema’s aunty- Sarah Nabatanzi –at the home of the Late Godfrey Mabirizi in Naguru.

One of the attendees was the wife to Mabirizi, Winnie Nakyejwe who told @thecigofamily. that she is a sister to Rema’s mother; meaning that Rema is her daughter too. Nakyejwe noted that it was Rema’s aunt’s decision for the function to be held at her home. It was such a highly boosted ceremony; that a person would mistake it for a wedding. Visiting the aunt’s place is the first ceremony held according to Buganda culture before an introduction ceremony that happens at the parent’s place.

Rema’s introduction is slated for November 14, 2019, at Nabbingo in Masaka. Rema first publicized the news of her new lover towards the end of August 2019, forsaking her long time ex-lover and fellow artiste Eddy Kenzo.

YouTube’s Most Famous Family Is Facing Rape Allegations

Rape allegations and extortion are not exactly AdSense-friendly topics, but recently YouTube’s biggest family vloggers have been forced to tackle them. The ACE Family, made up of 27-year-old Austin McBroom, 29-year-old Catherine Paiz, and their young daughters, have over 17 million subscribers on their kid-friendly YouTube channel. But offline, they’re allegedly suing another YouTuber, Cole Carrigan, for extortion after Carrigan claimed McBroom raped his friend.

Carrigan, a former member of YouTuber collective Team 10, posted a video accusing McBroom and at least two others of raping one of his friends at a hotel in Miami. In the video, Carrigan provided screenshots of messages, testimony from another alleged victim, and a photo of bloody bedsheets from the day of the alleged rape. In response, McBroom tweeted a Notes App denial and screenshots from the victim’s Instagram of text messages saying that Carrigan fabricated the story in order to get the ACE Family to pay him and the victims to stay quiet. This comes after Carrigan claimed that the ACE Family paid drama YouTuber Keemstar $500,000 to not report on rumors about them. (Keemstar later said he’d told Carrigan that as a joke.) On Wednesday, McBroom tweeted a screenshot of a Word document explaining that he and his family will be pursuing legal action for extortion, although it does not say against whom specifically. Although Carrigan says that Keemstar was interested in making a video about the rape, Keemstar posted another version of the story in which he similarly accuses Carrigan of extortion with his own set of screenshots. Carrigan has not responded publicly to the backlash.

cBroom is frequently the subject of cheating rumors. As recently as July, women have claimed McBroom asked them to sign nondisclosure agreements after hooking up. In January 2019, he came under fire for posting a video of himself buying a young relative a penis-shaped lollipop. “Bullying, extortion, slander and defamation of character is something I will not stand for,” he said in a statement, “and I can promise that justice will be served.”

Museveni meets Eddy Kenzo

In his words, Kenzo posted “Hi guys, thank you for the hashtag Weyayu. I’m invited by the head of state in recognition of my contribution to the country and Africa at large. What should I tell him? Kenzo asked his fans.”

Kenzo expressed his discontent about how Ugandans have quickly forgotten how high he had raised the Ugandan flag.

Notable among what he said, Kenzo called onto the government in a statement that caught the attention of many, “Uganda Government, Where are you?” This prompted the hashtag weyayu which trended on social media.

Well, it looks like the government, led by President Museveni, has had the singer’s cry and as such, he is set to have a meeting with the president any time soon. Upon receipt of this news, Kenzo took to his FaceBook and Twitter pages to announce the meeting.

In his words, Kenzo posted “Hi guys, thank you for the hashtag Weyayu. I’m invited by the head of state in recognition of my contribution to the country and Africa at large. What should I tell him? Kenzo asked his fans,”

When New Vision reached out to the President’s Press Secretary, Don Wanyama, he declined to say much about the meeting. “ We shall send out a communication regarding that meeting if necessary,” Wanyama said.

This follows Kenzo’s return from America where he won the award of African Entertainer of the year in the African Entertainment Awards.

However, information reaching the newsdesk is that the two meet on Monday evening.

Regional NRM leaders must write to me if they want meeting- Kusasira

The newly appointed presidential advisor, Ms Catherine Kusasira has declined to meet Kampala NRM party leaders especially, Mr Salim Uhuru (Kampala Central NRM Chairperson).
The local artiste who President Museveni appointed last month as his advisor on Kampala Affairs told NTV on Saturday that as an advisor, she is more superior to any of the NRM party leaders in Kampala and therefore they have to write to her formally if they want to meet her.
“The position I have is more superior whether they want it or not. They have to formally write to me if they want me to meet them. To be a senior presidential advisor, it means I’m above them. They have to request me to go meet them to see how we can develop Kampala,” the Sonyiwa Bano singer said on Saturday during the launch of an NRM youth group in Busabala.
